Son Cubano - the mother of Salsa. A gentle, elegant, traditional dance of Cuban origin - but you can dance it to some modern "salsa" music too. The dance may just look like a slow salsa there is a bit more to it in terms of rhythm, timing, and a very different feeling.
We will be using traditional Son music, some of which you may well know. But once you dance Son you will hear familiar music differently (e.g. songs by Alexander Abreu or Leoni Torres).
Be careful when researching Son Cubano on the internet, many videos are of cabaret style, with very flamboyant performances. The videos below are more traditional social styles.
